Where is Rome? Where is Persia? Where is The British Empire, or the Spanish Empire? Nowhere. Their territories have retreated to a tiny fraction of the territory they once controlled, and their populations intermixed with their invaders' ancestors.

The only incrementalism that Brooks wants is to move left at a slower rate than that of the left. The left is full revolution mode and Brooks slanders the ones heralding the news. Keep quiet Mr. Revere, I'm sure an incremental solution based on precedence, hierarchy, and the tone of the prudent will save our colonies. No! Brooks is nothing more than a Loyalist who thinks life is better under the leftist oligarchy.

I once again defer to Sam Adams to excoriate David Brooks:

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."
Rikaloniushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15644243863531863501noreply@blogger.com
