Will Embryonic Stem Cells Ever Cure Anything?Why not just use adult IPS cells, and forget the surgeries AND the pin pricks? The focus on embryonic stem cells is misguided. I think maybe the problem lies with the focus on cash: embryonic stem cells can be sold as a pre-packaged product, and for a good amount. Adult stem cells are created for each individual, and the process will likely become a cheaper, localized process which pays little or nothing to the pharmaceutical investors. As always, I vote for IPS; it's far ahead of embryonic stem cells, and the reasons are obvious.
