Scientific American on Evolution

Scientific American's recent Evolution issue made quite a number of truth claims for various aspects of evolutionary theory and its current position in the technological plane now available. Rather than repeat an analysis of the SA tribute, I defer to the pair of articles now available over at science against evolution by Do-While Jones, an article with which I mostly agree. There is considerable opportunity to wring out SA for its contra-scientific positions on the "truth" of various aspects of evolution. But all one needs is to observe the fawning deference that SA gives to evolution to understand that they do, in fact, believe that evolution is TRUTH.

Given such a passionate belief system, it is no wonder that they lapse from objective, skeptical, reserved, rational observation into a huzzah chorus which froths over the obvious limitations of knowledge as it erupts in admiration. Most of which the SA claims is knowledge is not knowledge; it is speculation.

But read the articles at the link as you read along in SA. See what you think.
