And for all those folks who say to themselves "Yeah. Well my privacy settings are intact" - Well think again.
FB has a the habit of changing the privacy settings every 3-4 months to something different. So you may think that you are ok and no one can muck around your profile but you just might be wrong. Why? They have added in something else for you to check off or have made a distinction on one of their panels, etc...
This is how they make money... so short of deactivation or permanently killing your acct they will find a way to get your personal data and send it to the marketing dept of some firm.
Again a good strategy is to create odd ball personal info, like hitting the like button on that Mah Jong book when in fact your interest in it is mild.
