I like bats. They are an essential element in the environment, including and maybe essentially for farms. They eat insects by the pound, and then fertilize to boot. The garantuan, 6 RPM generators with blades a block long create a vacuum which explodes birds and bats. So these wind generators are killing my friends, and that annoys me. I am actually all for wind power generation. But the engineering is obviously only partially done.
They need to be re-engineered.

How do you re-engineer such a thing to be safe for bats? Ultrasonic projectors around the machine to keep bats from approaching?
Well, I'd try, more blades with shorter length at a slower RPM so that there is no actual vacuum behind the blades. It seems likely that the efficiency is hurt if there is a vacuum to hold the blade back anyway.
Spoilers on race cars are for that exact purpose: to eliminate low pressure behind the vehicle. Low pressure works against it.
