HHS 'Corrects' Obamacare Rule, Waives Comment Period and 30-Day Delay
Legislated laws and Congress are just suggestions; the Left is the supreme source of law. Checks and balances? That's so 1787; doesn't apply to our modern needs.

If we say that the sane can be coaxed and persuaded to rationality, and we say that rationality presupposes logic, then what can we say of those who actively reject logic?

Atheists have an obligation to give reasons in the form of logic and evidence for rejecting Theist theories.

It will be interesting to see if the Judicial branch will enable Senator Ron Johnson's lawsuit to proceed by granting legal standing to bring the lawsuit in the first place. (Another one of those outdated 1787 checks and balances at work.) If the lawsuit is allowed to go forward, the only thing (AFAIK) that will be impacted is that members of Congress and their staffs MIGHT lose their special perks under the Executive branch exceptions. ObamaCare itself will remain the law of the land, and the solons will have to find some other way to grant themselves relief from the laws they have passed.
However much I personally would like to see ObamaCare repealed, I want it done (if it ever IS done) within the framework of the US Constitution. Congress certainly has shown no particular intention to allow an "outdated" document to constrain their legislative grabs for power. The Supreme Court has shown no particular interest in reining in the power of either the Executive or Legislative branches. The Executive branch has effectively ignored the Constitution and does whatever the Chief Executive wants done (or NOT done, when it comes to faithfully executing ALL laws, such as immigration.)
The voters have the Constitutional "right" to institute de facto term limits in every election; they do NOT. Invariably, the same scoundrels get re-elected over and over. The body politic apparently wants the "rascals" thrown out of Congress, but not MY rascal - because she brings home a lot of that Federal "pork" ("free" Federal money, extracted from the OTHER by force of law).
Congress has the power of the purse as well as the power to legislate. If it is the will of the Congress, the Executive branch can effectively be constrained, in the final analysis, by the extreme measure of removing the President from office. That ain't happening.
All three branches of the Federal government and BOTH political parties are complicit in the abrogation of the specifically enumerated (and therefore LIMITED) powers that are granted to the Federal government by the people.
I am pessimistic that anything will restore the rule of law as embodied originally in the US Constitution. The political "ruling" class certainly has no intention of reducing their power and control. The under-educated (due to government control of education and indifference to real education on the part of the MAJORITY culture) masses want their promised "free" bread and circuses (health care and Obama phones), and are quite willing to trade freedom for security.
R.I.P., America, formerly the "land of the free". It was a noble experiment which has - failed. It has become a staggering headless corpse, incapable of realizing that it has already been killed, merely continuing through inertia, waiting for the time and place to fall down.
And what is killing our country? Thought crimes, domestic spying, illegal immigration, false-flag attacks, socialism, globalism, overspending, deregulated industries, bailouts at taxpayers' expense, moral relativism, secular-atheism, inflation, speculation, government ransaking social security, race-baiting, special interest groups hijacking our education system, crony capitalism, outsourcing, Obama's HHS mandate attacking religious liberty, out of control police and federal agencies arming themselves to the teeth, government smuggling arms to Mexican drug cartels and even Al Qaeda (an act of treason), fraud scientists parroting evolution and global warming in exchange for government grants, cost of living increases while wages remain flat, and too many other things to mention.
In a shorter phrase: unconstitutional government overreach.
The push to identify the specific portion of the constitution which allows the governmental action proposed in every bill will likely never be passed. Much less the non-legislated bureaucratic regulations which flood out of DC, most of which are unconstitutional, except to Leftist Supremes who depend on stare decisis (previous Leftist decisions) rather than the constitution.
True, but it cuts both ways. The Republicans pushed through the Patriot Act, trickle-down economics and so forth, so they're peas in a pod. Neither party works for America's interests. Even most of the so-called 'independent' candidates I've heard from sound wacky or driven by some agenda, usually environmentalism or some other stupid crap.
