CO2: New Arrow in the Left's Quiver

The EPA has ruled that your breath exhalant, CO2, is a pollutant. This is one of the intended consequences of the blatantly false Anthropogenic Global Warming Panic. As a pollutant, industries and agriculture and any large enterprise that emits over a certain amount (which is of course subject to change without notice) will be taxed if they don't meet certain conditions (which are subject to change without notice). Taxes always roll downhill, and the citizen taxpayer is the ultimate victim, shouldering the burden of higher energy and other prices where the taxes are included in the price. But this is a redirectable, instantly retargetable tax, much like the military drones that bomb enemies without raising a hangnail on the bomber.

Since Cap and Trade has hit rough times in Congress, the EPA will take up the slack by selectively targeting the states of errant senators and congressmen as well as errant industries, and Red states in general. It's a done deal, no congressional or voter meddling to get in the way. If properly administered, it is way more powerful than Cap and Trade; it is an unequalled economic and political targeting drone, which Democrats can direct, yet be unfazed by consequences.

Think the noble Democrats would not target their enemies? Then you don't recall last summer when Chrysler dealers were shut down based on their loyalty.

AGW is a political fraud, which produces political results. This one is blatant.

I barely got this post out of the chute before the OBAMA administration made its first threat:

"The Obama administration is warning Congress that if it doesn't move to regulate greenhouse gases, the Environmental Protection Agency will take a "command-and-control" role over the process in a way that could hurt business."

The Left no longer cares what anyone thinks of their attacks on the USA. They are blatant and out of control.
