PZ Meyers Endorses The Freedom From Atheism Foundation

PZ never has a firm grip on sequitur in arguments. This is no exception. Says Meyers:
"It is not inaccurate to call Jesus a myth, and I do understand that many people would find that offensive. But aside from that, I am happy to agree that atheism should be kept out of the public square, if religion is also excluded. There’s this principle called secularism that I think is a good idea, and the only way to accommodate a religiously diverse community."
Of course secularism is Atheist. So he endorses Atheism only. This is contrary to "Freedom From Atheism". Thus, he is not really endorsing the FFAF. PZ is a case.

Let's take this double negative:
"It is not inaccurate to call Jesus a myth..."
False, and egregiously so. PZ likes to talk about stuff about which he is vastly ignorant. There are sufficient non-religious documents regarding the existence of Jesus that reputable historians would never make such a stupid statement.

And there is this falsehood:
" It also mischaracterizes the FFRF, which supports your right to believe any silly thing you want, it’s just that you don’t get to impose your beliefs and practices on others."
False. The FFRF attacks every vestige of religion, regardless of whether it is "imposed" on others; just its existence gives them the collywobbles, and that must cease. So PZ is wrong, completely, again. And they impose Atheism on weaker organizations, like school districts, small towns, museums, but never on the city of angels (Los Angeles), or saint diego (San Diego) or saint francisco (San Francisco), etc. because they are bullies of the small, and would get stomped by the large.

Actually it would shock me a LOT if PZ were to start using actual reason. As it is, he speaks in emotional terms that come straight from his swollen ego. Kindred spirits do not mind this - in fact they actually encourage it.

The rest of us can only watch in amazement as Meyers busily saws on the branch he sits on.

Secularism used to mean seperation of church and state and remaining neutral between the 2 institutions.
Atheists have now redefined it to mean anti-religion,and in the process have made the word "secular" synonymous with atheism.
They've done that also with the words "logic","rational"& "science".It is now equated with atheism.
