The next time someone claims that the Antarctic is melting into the sea, refer them to the National Snow and Ice Data Center's graphs below. The NSIDC is located at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

The ice extent has increased by 42% and the concentration has increased by 45% since 1980.

And here below are the views of the Northern Hemisphere ice for the same two year comparison:

The Northern Hemisphere ice has decreased 5.6% in extent, and increased 0.7% in concentration.

Overall, world ice has increased by 0.6 million sq km, or 3.1% since 1980, based on the images. However that doesn't stack against their "trend Chart" which shows a continuous downward trend of 1.1%/decade in ice extent. More secret data adjustments?

Is this intended to be related to atheism somehow? Or are you simply supporting political (scientific?) views here...

I long ago learned that scientism, Consequentialism/socialism/Leftism, and Atheism run through the same demographic to a very large extent. I treat them as equally unbalanced, rationlizing, illogical and irrational phases of the same issue: agenda over logic.

Sometimes, like now with the AGW meltdown, the subject tends toward scientific method, or politics of antideontologists, or some such. My intent remains to inject real critical analysis (not the Dawkins type) into the fray.

I note that you are a "Ray Comfort Detractor". I have no truck with Comfort, nor YEC's, nor ID supporters.

But I will be happy to discuss whatever subject you wish, if you would care to engage in a rational conversation. I especially enjoy evolution. Right now AGW is a very hot topic of course. But you choose.
