PZ Watch: 7.24.08 Desecration Wrapped in Hatred

Anticlimactic, as PZ admitted that it would be. A nail through the eucharist item and through ripped-out pages from the Koran and the "God Delusion" which were then dumped and photographed covered with garbage. PZ Meyers: performing for the Atheist blogosphere.

But not before a totally expected and lengthy rant about the evils of medieval Catholicism and why the Pope is a rilly bad boy.

PZ did get some rather nasty mail, which is very unfortunate. But he might become even more oppressed after his treatment of the Koran.

I am losing interest in PZ and his chancy shot at fame. If he gets into more trouble, I think I'll need to learn about it second hand. It's just too mentally abrading to have to deal with that much hate. Like unto Madeline Murray O'Hair, PZ seems to thrive on it. In fact he cultivates it out of 700 year old accusations against the human institution of the church. There's not enough hate for PZ in the normal world, so he goes out of his way to generate it. Without his hatred, I doubt that PZ would attract enough readers to hold a quilting bee. With his hatred he now generates over 1600 comments (last count) on a single issue (not science). He has found a niche, he has his minions (his "little godless ones"), and they will continue to cackle for awhile.

But I am tuning out.
