Obama, the Theologian

Exegesis of Obama’s Papal Bull:
"Obama had a more non-denominational message for the audience that also included prominent leaders of non-Christian faiths. The president said that while religion is a source for good around the world, people of all faiths have been willing to 'hijack religion for their own murderous ends.'"
Religions can be (are) evil and murderous, said/heavily implied the Nobel Peace Laureate, who calls himself, “Good at Killing”. It’s important to point out the defects first, or you might think your religion is good, or at least OK. We can’t have that going on, so let’s make certain that your religion is demeaned properly – but we’ll call it a hijacking to ease your pain a little bit.

Now. Let’s Tu Quoque Christianity right up front in order to shut up any Christian criticism of Islamic atrocities. Here we go (you Islamists sit back and enjoy, OK?):
"Unless we get on our high horse and think that this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ," Obama said. "In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ."
Thus saith O: the Obligatory List of Evil Christianity: Crusades, Inquisition, Slavery, Jim Crow: all caused by Christianity. And one of them even in the past 100 years, even. Except mostly that one was a Democrat racist discrimination toy. And over with by a half century ago after the Republican Civil Rights Law.

But the point is that you can’t criticize; only O can do that. So take that: Crusades, Inquisition, Slavery, Jim Crow. So you can’t say a thing about Islam, because: Crusades, Inquisition, Slavery, Jim Crow. Yeah. There. Take that. And shut up about Islam killing everyone in its way, just this very morning. Because you’re guilty of the stinking Crusades, ya know. CRUSADES for Gawdsakes!
"So it is not unique to one group or one religion," Obama said. "There is a tendency in us, a simple tendency that can pervert and distort our faith."
Evil Christianity proves that Islam is not totalitarian, it's just this evil-in-everyone. Well, not O, O only has moral lapses when he fails to meet his OWN expectations. He said so.

Or... maybe it means that all religions are totalitarian, depending on how O means that statement to reflect on Islam. No, that’s still not right. The fact that Christianity is rilly rilly evil excuses Islam for being evil. No, again still not right. Christianity is evil (Crusades and all), but Islam is hijacked by… Islamists. No, wait, that won't work. Hmmmm.
"Obama called for all people of faiths to show humility about their beliefs and reject the idea that 'God speaks only to us and doesn't speak to others.'"
In other words, all religions are equal, at least to O, relating God's Word delivered just in time for the meeting. Repeat, ALL religions.are.equal. So be humble, because your religion is not Right, because if it were Right, it would not be equal, would it? Well, would it?? Of course not. This proves your religion is Wrong, and Evil not to admit it. So at least shut up, because: O.

Plus if Christianity is evil, (Crusades, don’t you know), and all religions are equal, then all of them are evil. There. That should do it.
OK, Islamists, please sit down. Put those swords away. I am O.

Empathy In the Islamic World

The Saudi blogger who is being given 1000 lashes at 100 per week has been given an extra week because his wounds haven't healed enough you for the next 100 lashes.
"Said Boumedouha, Amnesty International’s Deputy Director for the Middle East and North Africa Programme said the postponement exposes the "utter brutality" of the punishment, and its "outrageous inhumanity."

"The notion that Raif Badawi must be allowed to heal so that he can suffer this cruel punishment again and again is macabre and outrageous. Flogging should not be carried out under any circumstances," said "
Apparently the Saudi king took issue with criticism of himself (Sounds like King George III to me).

This puts the lie to claims that flogging is merely "taps" to induce humiliation.

Berkeley Incident Might have Been Another Ambush On Cop

Protesters confront police at site where Berkeley officer killed suspect who pulled gun

"Millikan said it's possible that his client was being set up for an ambush. Store employees called 911 after the suspects stole from the store, Millikan said.

"Their behavior is certainly bizarre, and it wouldn't surprise me at all, in the environment we are in, that's for sure," Millikan said."

Well, He DOES Have An Exit Strategy, Always

Obama confesses: ‘We don’t have a strategy yet’ for Islamic State

"President Obama acknowledged Thursday he doesn’t have a plan for defeating Islamist militants in Syria and backed away from imminent military action, while he also downplayed reports of a new Russian invasion in Ukraine.

“We don’t have a strategy yet,” Mr. Obama said of his plans for defeating the Islamic State in Syria. “We need to make sure that we’ve got clear plans. As our strategy develops, we will consult with Congress.”
Or we could just play golf until the middle east is stabilized under the "JayVees". Exit strategies is all he's ever had, and since he's fired all the generals that don't agree with him, that's what we'll get. A Unified Theory Of Exiting In Advance. Maybe he'll release some more Gitmo guys in return for not invading the USA under his administration... That might get him another igNobel Peace Prize.

Barack Hussein Hits The Links

"Obama returns to golf course after condemning ISIS"
The HILL

"In recent months, Barack Obama has crossed an important threshold. He has always shown contempt for his opponents; now he shows contempt for his supporters. He has quit pretending to be a leader, and more or less quit pretending to be a president. On the right and the center, he has become a joke"
John Hindraker
BHO has achieved his actual goal: fundamental transformation of America. So he's done with that, and it's on to retirement in his unearned wealth, while the world bleeds out of his sight and mind. There will be a lot of clean up to do when he's actually gone, physically, from the presidency.

Neo-Barbarism

instapundit (aka Glenn Reynolds):
SAME AS IT EVER WAS. SAME AS IT EVER WAS. Michael Ledeen: 21st Century Antisemitism: How Did We Get Here? My response: Identify the barbarians. Crush the barbarians. Repeat as needed, and anti-semitism won’t be a problem. It’s when, in some sort of nostalgie de la boue, you instead exalt barbarism, that you’re in trouble
This is correct. The hatred of Israel, Israelis, and Jews is always, always traceable to barbarians. Barbarians function at the level of starving hyenas, morally and intellectually. The lawlessness of the American Left is a perfect replica of this, as it feigns moral righteousness while lying about virtually everything and attacking those who have actual, written, documented legal principles, as well as actual, written, documented moral principles.

Leeden:
"Mr. Cohen understands the essence of antisemitism. It isn’t just hatred of Jews, it’s a vision of the whole world, at the center of which it puts the Jews. Each little step, from the campaign against the ritual slaughter of animals for kosher meat, to the efforts to ban circumcision (often crafted to ensure that Jews can’t do it, but Muslims can), gets them closer to their goal of eliminating the Jews from the world.

So we must fight each step.

And “we” isn’t just a Jewish subject. One of his finest essays, on Iran, is eloquently titled “First They Came For the Bahai’s…” and it contains a prescient warning to the Christians. Having failed to defend the Bahai’s, the Christians (whether in Iran or around the world) failed to defend their own:

The reaction of western church leaders to the brazen demonization of Christianity in Iran has been typically nervous…there is a clear reluctance to identify Iran’s strategy for what it is: the first stage of a campaign to eradicate Christianity from the country.

Here Mr Cohen somewhat understates the gravity of the situation, as the Islamist campaign against Christians isn’t at all limited to the boundaries of Persia, but is raging all over the place. Iraq, now largely an Iranian protectorate, seems to have eliminated all its Christians, and the new Caliphate is issuing ultimata to them.

You might think it paradoxical that a book about antisemitism should provide such clear guidance about Christian-hatred, but actually it’s entirely logical.

Another reason to make sure that Some of My Best Friends is one of your basic books."
