Truth will get you two.
Information is evil: two years in jail. In post-rational UK, the facts will get you jail time. According to this lifesitenews.com report, Tory MP John Bercow has proposed an amendment to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill which will give jail time to anyone who provides information to potential abortion customers concerning abortions "even if it is factually correct". The offense occurs if a woman changes her mind based on the new information she receives.
The intent is to prevent a potential abortion customer from thinking that the fetus is not just a blob of cells, according to a UK Planned Parenthood website. To persuade otherwise is "false advertising".
Berclaw also wants sexually explicit sex education for six year olds in mandatory school cirriculums.
Obama's Pay Grade
Not much of this on the MSM that I have seen. In the "Megachurch Debate" with Rick Warren, Obama was asked when human life starts. Obama waffled then gave the following answer: "That's above my paygrade." Well of course it is.... except that Obama consistently has made that decision despite whatever his paygrade has been. As the left-most senator in the US Senate, not to mention is home state, Obama has decided the fates of living, independent newborn humans, by denying them guaranteed health protection under the law by referring to them as persons.
Many are the stories of abortion nurses who have quit the abortion centers due to the treatment of born-alives, and even potential born-alive babies who are killed gratuitously. Abortion is SUPPOSED TO KILL the infant; if it doesn't die in the process, it is either terminated externally or it is allowed to die on its own.
Of course these are anecdotes - many anecdotes - but still just anecdotes. Why? Because there is no oversight whatsoever applied to the kill process in the abortion centers.
But Obama voted against any such thing. There will be no relief for any born-alive baby under Barak Obama.
Pelosi as Pope
House Majority Leader Nancy Polosi, an alleged Catholic who was photographed kissing the Pope's ring, has taken on the entire Catholic Church. She has claimed that there is a difference of opinion within the Catholic hierarchy concerning the exact point at which life begins and a new human exists.
The response was quick. My favorite is the response of Archbishop Chaput, referring to the "Separation of Sense and the State". Referring to Pelosi's attempt at political theology, Archbishop Chaput says,
"Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is a gifted public servant of strong convictions and many professional skills. Regrettably, knowledge of Catholic history and teaching does not seem to be one of them."
Starting with these words,
"Abortion kills an unborn, developing human life. It is always gravely evil, and so are the evasions employed to justify it."
Archbishop Chaput later quotes "the great Lutheran pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer:
"Destruction of the embryo in the mother's womb is a violation of the right to live which God has bestowed on this nascent life. To raise the question whether we are here concerned already with a human being or not is merely to confuse the issue. The simple fact is that God certainly intended to create a human being and that this nascent human being has been deliberately deprived of his life. And that is nothing but murder."
And, he says,
"Of course, we now know with biological certainty exactly when human life begins. Thus, today's religious alibis for abortion and a so-called "right to choose" are nothing more than that - alibis that break radically with historic Christian and Catholic belief.
Abortion kills an unborn, developing human life. It is always gravely evil, and so are the evasions employed to justify it. Catholics who make excuses for it - whether they're famous or not - fool only themselves and abuse the fidelity of those Catholics who do sincerely seek to follow the Gospel and live their Catholic faith."
Pelosi is another faux Catholic.
