PZ Meyers uses his logic to categorize people with whom he disagrees:
"babbling chowderhead"; "pimple"; "gibbering moron"; "crackpot".
PZ's "ejaculations" (his term) are becoming less interesting the more they become the same. Ridicule works in two situations. First when it is a response to a power broker who has actually done something ridiculous. Second when the audience is immature. For others, ridicule becomes a blotch on the mocker himself especially when it is more habitual than spontaneous or creative, more knee-jerk than deserved.
Persistent disrespect for the "other" is just fundamental innate intolerance.
