Troll Filter

Since going to a system which reveals, at least minimally, the identity of commenters, the trolling here has dropped to zero. That's good. However, there is now a dearth of commenting from the Other by which I mean Atheists and Leftists, and that is unfortunate. I encourage all viewpoints - except trolls of course - to comment and engage in principled discussion.

At some level, the trolling allowed you to more specifically address follow-up issues that are now going largely unchallenged and un-articulated. Perhaps the wheat was worth some of the chaff?

The past series of trolls were not seriously making any arguments. Under the new philosophy of trolling, they merely say the inverse of what they know to be the case in order to raise havoc if they can. This makes it a gaming situation rather than any attempt to pursue a single thought to its conclusion.

I put up with that long enough; if someone makes a serious attempt to logically analyze the path to a conclusion honestly, then I'm in. Otherwise, I choose not to be gamed by juvenile intellects.

I have noticed the sudden decrease in comments and wish there was serious engagement from the Other. I did not have much difficulty meeting the new requirements for posting. If someone cannot be bothered with that minimum level of difficulty in order to engage in the debate(s), then (perhaps) they also cannot be bothered to demonstrate the minimum level of seriousness and intellectual honesty required in order to engage the arguments given. I (for one) do NOT miss the snarky trolls who merely wanted to engage in gamesmanship.
