Hmm, very interesting. Now excuse me while I head down to McDonald's to spiritually bond with one of my "fellow mammals" with extra cheese and ketchup.

I have read Darwin's Origin of the Species and what it amounts to is a long series of inferences. There is no possible way to prove that the fossil record is proof of anything other than the existence of certain skeletal forms of animals which are found in certain layers in certain places. Everything else is an extrapolation. Much of his thinking is based on currently living creatures, from which he infers things to support evolution. This is the same intellectual weakness which is used today to declare the truth of evolution.

It is important for evolutionists to shout down all competition for evolution, not because it is true, or even certain to have happened, but because it is an ideological component and a threat to this ideological component is a threat to the ideology. Heresy must be attacked quickly and as violently as necessary to silence it.

@Stan: and you nailed it. Atheists / Liberals / Darwinists all seem to use the same playbook. I don't want to conflate them - I am sure there is a rabid Darwinist out there someplace who attends Mass on Sundays. But they all seem to have plugged something into the spot in their heads the rest of us reserve for God. And the less defensible it is in terms of common sense and reason, the louder they shout and the more they accuse.
