The Coddling of the American MindThis is a technically correct blow to the government-driven campus culture. But the problem is not technical at its base. The problem is ideological: cultural Marxism, when in control, will not relent to mere logic, not even the logic which reveals the destruction which is the natural consequence of Marxist Classism. The ideology is rooted in the pathology of the Marxist Class Warriors, now in control of both government and education systems. That they inflict cognitive pathology on others is of no concern to the Politically Correct - Social Marxist if the result is conversion to Social Justice Warriors.

We are raising a generation of overprotected wimps. I think they get exactly what they've earned when they go out into the big, bad world. If they ever do, that is.
I've noticed a tendency for people to try to re-create the environment in which they were most successful. For a lot of folks, that's high school, and they do their level best to recreate high school wherever they go.
Now there's a batch that's going to try to re-create their bubble-wrap college years for the rest of their lives. How depressing and dull for the rest of us! The behavior listed in that article reminds me of nothing so much as life lived in Moscow during the heyday of the Soviet Union.
