GOP Desperate To Shoot Itself In The Foot

Continuing the saga of Why I Am Not A Republican...

By forcing a loyalty pledge on the Republican presidential candidates the GOP has acknowledged two things: first, a great many people don't like the Republican entrenched politicians; second, those people could sink the party by voting for Trump in a third party.

So what do they do? Rather than accommodate the voters who support Trump by, let's say, developing an aggressively conservative platform, they instead insist on fealty as if they are a dictatorship. This is, as Trump has said, Stupid.

Let's take this to its logical conclusion. Trump won't sign (and shouldn't in my opinion). The leadership will consider him Not-A-Republican and will not support him in caucuses and the convention. Thus Trump absolutely WILL run third party, and defiantly so. The GOP will lose to Comrade Bernie... or Uncle Joe Feely Fingers.

The GOP is not dubbed the Stupid Party for no reason.

Trump signed the pledge.

Trump signed, in order not to be blacklisted from getting any Republican delegates at all. So, he will NOT be running third-party.

Sad, but true.

As for the SJW side: don't count out the Hildebeast just yet. Cheryl Mills just testified, apparently without invoking the Fifth Amendment. Bryon Pagliano has already lawyered up and is invoking the Fifth Amendment before he even gets to the hearings. Hillary, of course, is "disappointed" and has "urged him to testify." If he has any brains, he will NOT admit to doing ANYTHING with that email server, because if he knowingly destroyed the classified information improperly, it's felony time, and Hillary won't be able to keep him out of prison.

It will be interesting to see if there is any "crack" in Team Clinton. So far, Team Clinton, the Dept. of State and the Dept. of Justice flunkies have all circled the wagon that the Hildebeast is pulling.

It only takes one defector to bring the entire thing to a crashing halt.
