Bernie Sanders, Atheist Jew

Why Bernie Sanders doesn’t participate in organized religion

Sanders said he believes in God, though not necessarily in a traditional manner.

“I think everyone believes in God in their own ways,” he said. “To me, it means that all of us are connected, all of life is connected, and that we are all tied together.”

When late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel asked Sanders in October whether be believes in God and if that matters to the American people, the senator seemed to avoid a direct response:

“I am what I am,” he said. “And what I believe in, and what my spirituality is about, is that we’re all in this together.”

“He often talks about ‘the ethical thing to do,’ ” said Gutman, “and his ethics are shaped by a concern for social justice and for other human beings that is part of a Judeo-Christian tradition.”

Larry Sanders sums up his brother’s views this way: “He is quite substantially not religious.”
Those statements are a) not about deity, b) not about spirituality, and c) are strictly about Sanders' communalism, which he is in the process of gaining access to his lessors for application to them. And Social Justice, as is now practiced by proto-totalitarians, is not part of the Judeo-Christian tradition. His "ethics" are of his own construction, as are all Atheist "ethics".
“I am motivated by a vision which exists in all of the great religions — in Christianity, in Judaism, in Islam, Buddhism and other religions — and which is so beautifully and clearly stated in Matthew 7:12,” Sanders said. “And it states: ‘So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the law and the prophets.’
This attempt to assert an appeal to "all the great religions", is a phony cover for the totalitarian, top down control of the populace which is the reality of socialism. Sanders is lying (he's a politician). When an Atheist appeals to religious principles, especially by claiming commonality of all religions, he is not honestly revealing his own Atheist, non-religious aspirations. I.e., he is lying by conventional standards, although not by his own standards, which actually are ungrounded, personally derived by personal moral authority, with personal proclivities redefined as "ethics".

Let's revisit the meaning behind the "do unto others..." ethic, as viewed by an Atheist Communalist. First, Sanders wants to live under socialism, perhaps even communism (given the history of his past). Therefore, this ethic means to Sanders that he should "do socialism unto others, as he would have others do socialism unto himself". This is a corruption of the meaning of the specific ethic which is usually understood to mean that personal autonomy should be respected, not destroyed.

But the popularity of Sanders, even in the face of the collapse of almost all socialist regimes and the vicious conditions in which the subjects of socialism are forced to live, indicates that ignorance and/or the pursuit of slovenly anti-intellectualism is rising in the USA. Not to mention the overwhelming desire to force everyone to be as ignorant and slovenly anti-intellectual as are they.

Sanders' tactic of embracing all religions and believing in his own unconventional god is purely to garner support from the religious majority. I smell scumbag, akin to the Hitler variety.
