Because hey, it's more free stuff from your government, right? Someone will have to pay for it, but it won't be you and it might even be those rich fat cats we all hate and envy so much. No wonder the lottery is climbing so rapidly. Few people want to earn a living anymore so much as they want to 'deserve' one from the government. Or draw a winning ticket.
Well, I have no problem with a 40 hour work week (or thereabouts), but a lot of people seem to be working 60-80 hour weeks anymore (studies show that those don't really help). I would rather collect welfare than work 80 hours a week. That is bondage.
I wouldn't mind having a winning lottery ticket, but I refuse to pay for one.
