Difference between men and women. I noticed in the comments section that (a) this sort of practice is routine, and is used to get the women ready for competition against other women, that (b) this is common practice for most women's soccer teams and (c) that's why no one really cared about the loss.
Which makes sense, really. But it does squash all that rot about putting women into combat, don't you think?
A few weeks back I got into a discussion with an idiot who was either one of the best trollls I've seen or actually believed any difference in physical capabilities between males and females was down to the patriarchy, going so far as to insist women could hold their own even in the NFL if it weren't for rampant misogyny holding them back. Or something.
