This Is Not A Transistor

Nanotube-Based Tunneling Field Effect Transistor Offers Semiconductor-Free Switching
It is a two terminal device which acts like a forward-biased diode in both polarity directions. Maybe there's a use for it but I sure don't know what it would be,unless it could be set as an input protection device which would bypass electrostatic discharges over a certain voltage to ground. But it is not a transistor. I have spoken.
