When Science Becomes Fiction, and Vice-Versa

Time travellers could use parallel dimensions to visit the past, scientists claim

Physicists reveal sensational findings which could allow science fiction dreams to become reality

THERE are multiple timelines playing out in parallel universes, according to a team of researchers.

The sensational claim was made by a team of physicists, who believe that the parallel universes can all affect one another.

The team’s ‘Many Interacting Worlds Theory’ provides a whole new perspective on the ideas underpinning quantum theory, a notoriously complex strand of physics.

Professor Wiseman said: “The idea of parallel universes in quantum mechanics has been around since 1957.

“In the well-known ‘Many-Worlds Interpretation’, each universe branches into a bunch of new universes every time a quantum measurement is made.

“All possibilities are therefore realised – in some universes the dinosaur-killing asteroid missed Earth. In others, Australia was colonised by the Portuguese.

“But critics question the reality of these other universes, since they do not influence our universe at all.

“On this score, our ‘Many Interacting Worlds’ approach is completely different, as its name implies.”
We, of course, don't observe any of that. None of that. Zero. No universes spawning from quantum measurements (that would make quite a mess, wouldn't it). Nor do we observe actual time-travelers hopping out of other universes - contra Arnold.

The entire concept is built on a large stack of presuppositions that start with the fatally flawed Copenhagen Understanding[*] of Quantum Mechanics. That plus String Theory, which is merely mathematical fantasy, with obvious and logical mathematical intransigence such as claiming that infinity divided by infinity = 1.

It's shameful that physics has been reduced to this sort of absurdity. Make that cumulative absurdities. The original requirement for experimental proof of a deduced theory based on inductive observation no longer hampers the pursuit of "physics"... to its huge intellectual detriment. Objective knowledge has been replaced with Appeal to Authority, where the designation, "scientist", is given the authority of the modern cult's priesthood.

Hopping onto a parallel universe contained in parallel dimensions in order to go backward in time is actually merely poor science-fiction.

* When viewed through Quantum Field Theory, the absurdities generated by the Copenhagen Understanding go away. Schrodinger's Cat is still alive .

Science reads as science fiction now, because the sciences (as they are presented to us on the internet) are only trotted out for their entertainment value.

It used to be that evolution's most ardent supporters were the only ones that based their "theories" on Just So stories. It appears that physics has gone that route as well. That would explain Hawking's idiotic (even compared to a relative moron like ME) assertion of a "Universe from nothing" (shades of Larry Krauss). I really, REALLY would like a coherent explanation of exactly how (with philosophy dead and buried, according to the esteemed Dr. Hawking) to get SOMETHING from NOTHING - you know, that very real NOTHING which can be measured and quantified, rather than the fake kind that actually consists of lots of "something." By comparison, it makes Darwin's original theory of evolution look like the epitome of empirical science with thorough testing in the physical world thrown in for good measure, don't ya know! (AND, I quite readily admit to having less actual physics knowledge than could be measured using one board, er, Planck constant.) Next thing you know, physicists will be receiving Hugo Awards instead of Nobel prizes. . .

Science can do anything, sees and knows everything. Science knows what you're gonna do before you even think it...at least in Atheist La La Land.

Hello everyone!!

You know, it is sooo contradictory for "mainstream" physicists to understand the Aramov-Bohm effect, the experimental proof of Broken Gauge-Symmetry (what Gauge Symmetry means, is the variation of the equation of the conservation of energy, but applied to the variable of electrical charge. Remember that charge is not a charge carrier itself necessarily, so charge actually works more like neutrinos(!!!), they get trough "everything"), and still use the ad-hoc theory of "virtual particles", and still use the ad-hoc theory of "string theory", and still use the ad-hoc theory of "parallel universes". So, this is actually the weird usage of an ad-hoc theory like the cake, under another ad-hoc theory which is just the beautiful icing, to make another "sex appeal" for the next generation of gullible academic physicists.

Another thing that simultaneously is funny and weird, is that, is there no acknowledgement of the experimental proof of broken Gauge Symmetry because that means, in their pejorative terms, "perpetual motion", but, at the same time, it is used as the ad-hoc theory of "virtual particles" to make a theoretical case for "String Theory" and "Multiple universes"??

We are in another wave of the dark times of science. When science even now has it's own church. Sad, really sad.

It is, as if we are forgetting, that science and spirituality are both noble pursuits for the betterment of humanity, and now many people are having such a huge disconnect from both, and then resort to bro-politics.

Well, our intelligence and cunning is key.

Kind Regards!

Not to mention the Dunning-Kruger effect. . . It never fails to amaze me (a veritable simpleton by comparison) of just how moronic highly educated people can appear to be. Surely there is a psychological explanation for this phenomenon somewhere. Oh, I remember: SJWs ALWAYS LIE!
