Materialism claims that humans are less then they appear.
Theism claims that they are more than they appear.
Both cannot be right. Neither can be proven.
The issue becomes, reductively speaking, one of individual taste.
Or, analytically speaking, the issue is what do I observe? Are humans not conscious agents, after all? What do I observe to support that? Do we receive notification from our neurons that they have decided to go see grandma, or that they have decided to build a skyscraper, and then we, consciously say, "OK, message received", and then sit back and watch as our neurons accompish their objective?
What if we consciously don't want to do what the neurons want us to do? Can we rebel, and take over for our conscious selves? Or is our conscious self locked down to the point where we cannot even question the decisions made by our neurons? Are we completely captives?
Humans ARISE! Overthrow your neurons! Justice for the Conscious! Think a Thought Consciously!

I'm curious.
Does anybody out there follow the "ClosertoTruth" series by Robert Lawrence Kuhn?
Where is that series found? And does it have an archive?
Closertotruth.com.
Hundreds of talks with scientists, philosophers, theologians etc on the topics of God, consciousness, and the cosmos.
Yep. It's good. I wish I could figure out how to rip the sound so I can put it on my mp3 player and listen to it while I walk.
Martin,
You could use a tool such as Internet Download Manager (http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com) or any FLV grabber to
grab the FLV video. Then you could use a tool such as FLV Extract (http://http://moitah.net/#FLVExtract) to demux/extract the video and audio streams. Most FLV files use MP3 audio streams.
Cheers
JazzyJ,
Wholy moly! It worked! At last! I actually used FLV Grabber instead of Internet Download Manager, and then I used the FLV Extract you recommended to convert it to MP3. Thank you!
OK y'all. Here is a good one to start with. David Chalmers is an atheist who has now gone dualist because he does not think materialism can account for consciousness: http://closertotruth.com/video-profile/Does-Consciousness-Defeat-Materialism-David-Chalmers-/1172
To everyone:
Hmm closertotruth...
I've seen that website before, more than a year ago. I don't remember the videos I saw there, but were no more than two.
I remember the GOD™ part... It was in a bigger font (also white colored) on a column in the left side of the page, the last time I visited that website.
"Most people believe that God exists and religion is God’™s revelation."
I know it is common to address the argument for theism within Judeo-Chrisitian religions and frankly don't see anything anomalous or wrong with it... but it is also something which may deviate the reason or link between spirituality and religion in a more holistic sense, and the possible hasty rejection of anecdotal or, in a very minimal possibility, physical evidence regarding mystical experiences. In My Humble Opinion it sounds a bit like a publicity stunt :P
Kind Regards.
