Stupidity Never Sleeps

Arab DNC [Democrat National Committee] Leader Denounces Rachael Ray's 'Cultural Genocide' in Calling Food 'Israeli'

Zogby jumped into the fray, declaring, "Damn it Rachael Ray. This is cultural genocide. It's not Israeli food. It's Arab (Lebanese, Palestinian, Syrian, Jordanian). First the Israelis take the land & ethnically cleanse it of Arabs. Now they take their food & culture & claim it's theirs too! Shame."
Given that Israel has a substantial population of Arabs (25%), how many Democrat lies can we count in the Zogby rant, above?

Quote of the Decade

Sarsour: You Have No Right To Tell Us We Can't Kill Jews
Sarsour was one of the leaders of the Women's March. But she promotes Sharia, so she is a Fake Feminist, as well as a deadly anti-Semite.

Leftism Is Never Without Internal Contradiction: "Intersectionality" Creates Anti-Semitism

In the safe spaces on campus, no Jews allowed
There is no intersection between Palestinians and Jews. So which ones are the losers? Jews of course.

It's very common for the Left. White feminists vs. black feminists; feminists vs female trannies; all Leftists vs Asians; White self-hate; blacks dressed in jeans and tee shirts and crew cuts claiming that tolerance is intolerable cultural appropriation, etc. False ideology can't help but create non-coherent "truth" claims, and class war. That's the entire purpose.

Jews, and Black Female AntiSemite: Guess Which One Is Not A Protected Class?

'Free speech should flourish': Jewish head of Oberlin college defends his decision not to sack female professor who claimed Jews were behind 9/11 attacks

Joy Karega is a professor of 'rhetoric and composition' at Oberlin College

She allegedly said Jews are responsible for the Charlie Hebdo massacre

The president of Oberlin College President Marvin Krislov is defending Karega's free speech despite being Jewish and offended by her comments

Karega called ISIS a 'CIA and Mossad' operation, referring to Israel's national intelligence agency

However, the college said Karega has a right to express 'personal views'

Suddenly free speech emerges from the intellectual darkness, into the even intellectually darker darkness.

Campus "Free Speech" Jackboots and AntiSemitic Thugs

HIGHER EDUCATION BUBBLE UPDATE, ANTISEMITISM EDITION: Israeli academic shouted down in lecture at University of Minnesota. “The protests were apparently organized by a group calling itself the Anti-War Committee,’ which bragged on its Twitter feed about having disrupted the lecture and complained that the protesters’ ‘free speech’ rights were violated when a few were arrested.”

They’re not “anti-war,” they’re just on the other side. And they don’t care about free speech, or they wouldn’t be shouting down speakers. More evidence of the toxic environment on many campuses today.

Anti-Semitism and Leftist Class Warfare

The western AtheoLeftist Class Warriors are denying that anti-Semitism even exists. This author lists five stages of class war against Jews, and his summary paragraph, below, I have separated into an itemized list:
"When deBoer implies that anti-Semitism is not increasing in Europe and that the real problem is Islamophobia, he ties all of these threads together.
(a)Muslims, people of color, can’t be racist, at least not in any coherent and self-sustaining way;

(b)they are an oppressed people reacting to the depredations of Jews and other whites.

(c)Irrationalist movements that are powered by Jew-hatred don’t exist anymore; that sort of thing was the preserve of white people 70 years ago.

(d)Anti-Semitism today is embraced most frequently and fervently by people of color—but to note that is “the basic logic of bigotry,” blaming the victim while aggrandizing the powerful.

(e)As Chomsky put it himself, “Anti-Semitism is no longer a problem, fortunately. It’s raised, but it’s raised because privileged people want to make sure they have total control, not just 98 percent control.”"
So, any hatred against Jews is because Jews or the West caused the hatred to be deserved. Being a deserved hatred, it is not actually hate, it is justifiable moral indignance at not getting what they want (well documented to be total annihilation of Jews/Israel). This involves the protected Victimhood Class which by definition cannot be racist or hate, the designated Oppressor Class which by definition must be hated, and whatever the Protected Victimhood Class does to the Oppressor Class is deserved by the Oppressor Class, purely because they are designated by definition as the Oppressor Class. In other words, it is an ideology of Classist Hatred which installs hatred and violence as part of its principles.

These class distinctions become rule-bound caricatures which are Leftist-enforced dictation of what (their view of) reality is, viewed strictly and only through the lens of Classist Warfare. There is no other reality for them. Given their dictation of the character of reality, plus their presumption of being messiahs and elites, they are thus morally obliged to force their dictates onto the Oppressor Class, first by condemnations of the simplest self-defense by the Oppressor Class, and progressing from there to excusing bloody assault on the Oppressor Class as justifiable. Further, it is "bigotry" to object to such justifiable bloody assaults because those defined as entitled are also by definition racist and thus deserving of what they get.

To Fight Anti-Semitism

I receive many emails daily regarding various programs needing support. Some I do, some I do not. This program is important because of the escalating hate climate coming from the Left: anti-Semitism is becoming virulent in the Left, and colleges and universities are breeding grounds. I am not soliciting for this program, so much as creating awareness of the seriousness of the issue. I feel that this hatred must be stopped at its source.
"From David Horowitz, Freedom Center:

Yes, it can happen here.

Jew Hatred is running rampant in America's universities. According to a new report by the Brandeis Center for Human Rights, 54% of all Jewish students, liberals and conservatives, have seen or been subjected to anti Jewish harassment. This is a cancer on our campuses and the Freedom Center is working to cut it out.

Our target is the Students for Justice in Palestine, a Jew hating and terrorist loving organization that supports Hamas and the destruction of the Jewish State and the extermination of the Jewish people.

As part of my campaign to educate the public about this hate group, the Freedom Center put up posters dramatizing its outrages at the ten most anti Semitic campuses in the country. The objective of these posters is to wake up students, alumni and administrators as to the truth about the SJP.

This is not just another campus protest group. This is an organization dedicated to genocide. Colleges must stop funding and stop giving official recognition to the SJP. That is why we have launched this campaign.

But rooting out the Jew haters won't be easy.

What has happened at UCLA in the past couple of days is indicative of the hypocrisy and double standards that Jewish students and supporters of Israel face. After the Freedom Center put up its posters there, it was immediately accused of "vandalism" by UCLA authorities and is under investigation by UCLA campus police for "defacing university property."

Students for Justice in Palestine harasses and intimidates UCLA students who are Jewish or who defend Israel's right to exist and UCLA responds by accusing us of some petty bureaucratic offense! This enabling of hatred shows, in a nutshell, why anti Semitism is ravaging campuses all across our country.

SJP habitually violates UCLA's "Principles of Community," which forbid discrimination and bigotry against any religious or ethnic group. Yet UCLA authorities, ever vigilant when a charge of "Islamophobia" is made, turn a blind eye to these violations when SJP is the perpetrator. Worse, UCLA authorities actively support SJP's bigotry, providing it with extensive campus privileges, including student funding for its events. These events have featured notorious anti-Semites such as Abdel Malik Ali, whom even the liberal Southern Poverty Law Center admits "promotes anti-Semitism, violence and conspiracy theories."

The David Horowitz Freedom Center will not cooperate with the UCLA police investigation in this matter until administrators begin to enforce their own Principles of Community and related rules and regulations according to a single standard, and withdraws its financial support for hate groups such as Students for Justice in Palestine.

This is our line in the sand. "
Please note the Islamophilia involved, and the inaction to protect Jews.

The following is a solicitation. Don't read it if you find that offensive.
"It will not surprise you to know, as has happened so many times in the past, that I am heading into this battle alone. I know others will follow once we are on the barricades; they always do. But allies are very hard to find when we take the first steps into the battle. That is why I need your help as I begin the fight against Jew hatred on campus.

We are bracing for a possible legal fight and we need to provide security for the speakers we intend todefender of Hamas and orchestrator of Jew hatred whatever the cost. We must be prepared for a bitter struggle to the end with this genocidal group whose mere existence is an insult to everything our universities should stand for.

We must not lose and we must not back down.

This is our chance to stop the Jew hatred sweeping through our college campuses in its tracks. But I need your help. If you could make a donation today of $25, $50, $100 or even more, that would give me the ammunition I need to continue this fight.

Thank you for all you do for the Freedom Center and for our country.

Leftists Go Full Force Raging Anti-Semitism on Netanyahu.

Wow! Democrats LASH OUT at Netanyahu, Tell Him to Go Home, Call Him “a Child”
The Left goes into foaming rant mode, resembling full-bore metal jacket anti-Semitism at its heyday... and maybe its heyday is returning as the Left stampedes to punish Israel for existing. So much hate. See video at the source.

The hatred and disrespect for Israel has been brought erupting to the surface by the terror that Netanyahu strikes into the cowardly hearts of the Left: the fear that Americans will realize that Netanyahu is right - Israel is being sold out by the appeasement of Iran. Negotiating with terrorists who declare their intent to annihilate an ally is well beyond folly. It is betrayal.

All the bleating of the Left to preserve the SECRET talks from being revealed to the western world smacks of a railroad to treasonous capitulation to Islamic, hegemonic, murderous barbarians with whom the Left is now inexplicably in love.

If Obama will not lawfully manage the US borders, he also will not protect anyone from Iran and its atomic bombs. That's the only plausible reason to keep the Iran deal secret. And revealing this secret betrayal of Netanyahu and Israel is the reason for their hysteria.

Obama's Preemptive Attack on Israel's Leader: Official Antisemitism

White House Offers Rebuttal Before Netanyahu’s Speech

"Just four days before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to a joint meeting of Congress, the Obama administration sought on Friday to refute the Israeli leader’s expected critique, arguing that he has failed to present a feasible alternative to American proposals for constraining Iran’s nuclear program.

In a briefing for reporters, senior administration officials contended that even an imperfect agreement that kept Iran’s nuclear efforts frozen for an extended period was preferable to a breakdown in talks that could allow the leadership in Tehran unfettered ability to produce enriched uranium and plutonium.

“The alternative to not having a deal is losing inspections,” said one senior official, who would not be quoted by name under conditions that the administration set for the briefing, “and an Iran ever closer to having the fissile material to manufacture a weapon.”
No. False. The alternative is to destroy the facilities. They are an avowed enemy who has openly declared their intent to destroy Israel and the Great Satan, the USA. This is mere appeasement, and will not work as anyone who has read any actual history knows. No one in the administration cares what will happen to Israel after Iran gets the bomb. Nor do they care what happens to the USA, apparently, as they march toward its destruction.

It's interesting to see Obama eviscerate US military, the economy, and foreign influence, while rapidly increasing control of US internal affairs by reducing freedoms virtually daily. He said before his first election that he favored positive rights, which means that the population gets only those rights which are specifically stated as rights by the government. And that is nearly here and would take only a little tumble from his pen in the direction of "security" and "hate thought".

Congress is now trivial; it is controlled by cowardly Bosses in both chambers, an unintended consequence of non-constitutional house and senate "rules" and "leaders". Even so, it has been completely neutered by Obama's challenge to veto any attempt to control him. The dictatorship is now blatantly out in the open, and without a coup, will not be stopped.

The fault lies in the culture, which has been corrupted over generations - generations which have been stabilized in their ignorance and self-righteous entitlement. That's how Obama got elected; that's how the Democrats still own enough of the government to stop impeachment. The very fabric of the nation, starting with its minds and moral sense, has been divested and self-righteous totalitarianism has been installed as the new Social Justice.

Free Speech For Anti-Semites Screaming "Intafada"; Jail For Pro-Israel Demonstrators

Many campuses are now known to be deeply infected with "Jew Hatred". Leftist professors have formed into groups attempting to divest university involvement with Israel. Students now are fully engaged in anti-Semitic activism to the point of genocidal ranting, and the University of California at Davis is so embroiled:
"While Israel’s campus enemies at UC Davis and elsewhere feel free to speak against it in the most destructive and venomous way possible, as occurred last week, at the same time, pro-Israel, anti-terrorism voices are marginalized, disregarded, shouted down, or denounced as hate speech, unworthy of being part of an ongoing, vigorous debate, and deserving only of being punished and silenced by those who want only one side of the debate to be heard in what should be a vigorous, thoughtful debate in the ‘marketplace of ideas.’

That clearly was the very motivation for the 2013 resolution passed by the ASUCD Senate, Senate Resolution 21, which sought to condemn and identify what supporters term “Islamophobic” speech at UC Davis. The resolution, which was passed after a controversial Ayn Rand Society event on radical Islam, “Islamists Rising,” was held, defined Islamophobia as “the irrational fear of Islam, Muslims or anything related to the Islamic or Arab cultures and traditions.” The authors of the resolution wished to use the resolution to suppress speech by critics of radical Islam, and were successful in categorizing any view about Islam with which they did not agree to be outside the bounds of acceptable speech; in fact, it was henceforth categorized as “hate speech” and unwelcomed on campus. Presumably, criticizing the genocidal charter of Islamic Hamas, or condemning the group’s unending attacks on Israeli civilians for the purpose of murdering Jews, could thereby be considered a type of hate speech, Islamophobic, or contrary to the accepted values of the UC Davis campus.

Obviously, last week’s successful resolution vote signaled to many pro-Palestinian students that not only did they no longer have to apologize for Islamic terror, they could proudly, and publicly, swear allegiance to Hamas while screaming “Allah Akbar” at Jewish students during the divestment vote (a phrase which, among others, the 9/11 hijackers screamed moments before their jets crashed into the twin towers).

The toxic situation at UC Davis has been simmering for some time now, with anti-Israel activists increasingly taking steps to promote their own noxious agenda while simultaneously attempting to suppress or neutralize the speech of other pro-Israel individuals on campus. During a 2012 event at UC Davis, for example, two Israelis –a Jewish man and a Druze woman—were scheduled to speak but their appearance was effectively shut down by members of Students for Justice in Palestine and others who had decided, in advance, that “Events like these are not welcome on our campus anymore.”

What type of events would no longer be allowed? Presumably, any event which offered a platform for defending Israel or offers an alternative view of the Palestinian/Israeli conflict offered by pro-Palestinian activists. And, clearly, this 2012 event did not pass the ideological litmus test: during the presentation, a protestor used the “heckler’s veto” to silence the speakers, standing up and screaming to the podium that Israel has “turned the land of Palestine into a land of prostitutes and rapists and child molesters,” and asking the speaker, “How many women have you raped? How many children have you raped? You are a child molester.”

And pro-Palestinian activists on the Davis campus obviously were not concerned about civility when three Jewish students tried to speak on behalf of Israel at UC Davis at a November 2012 protest against Israel’s Operation Pillar of Defense. The Jewish students were first shouted down with chants of “Leave our space!” “Shame on you!” “F**k Israel,” and “Long live the Intifada!” and then forced against a wall of windows while angry protestors threatened them with closed fists and physical aggression. When pro-Palestinian activists shout “Long live the intifada,” it is, of course, a grotesque and murderous reference to the Second Intifada, during which Arab terrorists murdered some 1000 Israelis and wounded more than 14,000 others, so the fact that this is what passes as intellectual debate about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict on campus is clear evidence that any hope of rational discourse or productive discussion has vanished. Civility has devolved into acrimony, and one can reasonably wonder, based on their language, what the true intentions are of those who defame, demean, and libel Israel in their effort to promote Palestinian self-affirmation."
There is no atrocity that if performed by Hamas would draw criticism from campus Leftists. There is no amount of self-control followed by necessary actions for survival that will not be called "atrocity" by these same people. The hatred runs so deep in both Islamicists and Leftists that there remains no rational plane on which to communicate or relate to them.

The universities, being Leftist, harbor blind hatred for the same cultures and classes that the Islamicists hate: all cultures and classes that are reflective of western values. If you wish your child to hate those cultures and classes, then by all means send him or her to UC Davis or any of the other major Leftist schools. There they will find that there is no Truth, except that it is True that hating western values is a moral essential, and that it is True that dissent cannot be tolerated in order to have a tolerant campus population. And those Truths will be enforced in the name of equality and multiculturalism.

Islamic Attacks on French Jews Is Working: They Are Self-Purging From France

'Every single French Jew I know has left Paris': Editor of Britain's Jewish Chronicle claims people are fleeing terror-hit French capital

"Jews are fleeing terror-hit Paris because of growing anti-Semitism in France, one of Britain's most influential Jewish journalists said today.

Stephen Pollard, editor of the Jewish Chronicle, spoke out after an Islamic terrorist took six people hostage and held them captive in a Kosher supermarket in the French capital.

This afternoon police ordered all shops in a famous Jewish neighborhood in central Paris to close.

The mayor's office in Paris announced the closure of shops along the Rosiers street in Paris' Marais neighborhood, in the heart of the tourist district and less than a mile away from the offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo where 12 people were killed on Wednesday.

Hours before the Jewish Sabbath, the street is usually crowded with French Jews and tourists alike.

Mr Pollard said today's terror attack in Paris, linked to the massacre at the office of Charlie Hebdo, will force more French Jews to flee the country.

Many are moving to Britain or to Israel, according to a report published in the newspaper last year.

He said the fact that a terrorist had chosen to target a Jewish store was no 'fluke'.

In a series of tweets he said: 'Every single French Jew I know has either left or is actively working out how to leave'.

'So, it's a fluke that the latest target is a kosher grocer, is it?

'What's going on in France - outrages that have been getting worse for years - put our antisemitism problems in perspective'."
Quite reminiscent of the NAZI era, n'est-ce pas? But Britain is infested with Sharia-seekers too, so that is probably not a safe destination, one would think.

Civilian Deaths In Gaza

While no one counts the civilian deaths in Israel due to the rocket bombardments, there is considerable hue and cry regarding the civilian deaths in Gaza, as if they were not caused by the initial actions of Hamas, but are unnecessary, brutal actions of the hated Israelis. (Actually, it appears that the rocket bombardments are a palpable failure, due to the protective technology of the Israelis).

But there is data, of a sort which is reported here. And we must keep in mind that the Palestinian terrorists always hide behind women and children, and place their operations in hospitals, schools and private homes. For the civilians, dying for Allah is a privilege, not a burden - although they always put on a show for photojournalists who believe their grief is real. In fact, many times the fatalities are not even real.

As the linked article points out, the lengths that the Israeli forces go to in order to prevent civilian death is unprecedented in the history of warfare. Nonetheless, when one starts a war, somebody is going to wind up hurt or dead. So, as far as Leftist support goes, it is in Hamas' interests to start skirmishes and then play the victim to the videocams. The Left loves victims who cannot/will not be saved, and hates the actual recipients of their savagery.

Cockroaches Being Dragged Into the Light: ASA has its 401(C)3 Tax Exemption Challenged

William A Jacobsen at Legal Insurrection is dragging the ASA into tax court after their antisemitic announcement in December:
When the National Council of the American Studies Association endorsed the academic boycott of Israel in early December, and put the boycott Resolution to a quick membership vote, I wondered how the ASA National Council could do such a thing not just on the merits, but because the boycott put ASA’s tax-exempt status at risk.

I stated my intention of filing a challenge to that tax-exempt status should the Resolution pass and the academic boycott go into effect.

The ASA membership approved the boycott Resolution with less than a quarter of the total membership voting for it (there was such low turnout, that was enough).
The immediate backlash from many universities is reassuring; there is still some semblance of sanity. Either the ASA will back down and behave itself or it will stand by an outrageous position which degrades its relevance. Either way it has stomped on its own integrity.

The ASA Goes Full Anti-Semitic

The American Studies Association has recommended an embargo on Israeli academic relationships, for the transparently false reason that Israel is occupying the Palestinians. This boycott of Israeli academic institutions has raised considerable hue and cry in the academic and rational world.
"The resolution is in solidarity with scholars and students deprived of their academic freedom and it aspires to enlarge that freedom for all, including Palestinians. The ASA’s endorsement of the academic boycott emerges from the context of US military and other support for Israel; Israel’s violation of international law and UN resolutions; the documented impact of the Israeli occupation on Palestinian scholars and students; the extent to which Israeli institutions of higher education are a party to state policies that violate human rights; and finally, the support of such a resolution by a majority of ASA members.
Palestinian terrorist government has consistently turned down international offers of statehood, because they want all of Israel and the elimination of Israelis. That Israel takes steps to defend itself from these Islamist Radicals is termed immoral. Why? The only rational answer is the elitist Messiahism, Victimhood and Oppressor supremist fantasy of the perpetually Leftist academics. This is a form of emotional neediness which generates many, many victims.

Helen Thomas: Promoter of Palestinian Hegemony Over Jews and Israel

I have been challenged to support my characterization of Helen Thomas as fascist. I will do that.

Helen Thomas was the first woman to do many things in journalism. She achieved acclaim merely due to that, but mostly due to her longevity as a White House correspondent. She did perform, apparently, as journalists are supposed to, by asking some hard questions now and again.

She has been given two types of legacy: one by the Left, and one by the Jews she despised.

She probably deserves both.

My take is that she had a strong emotional affiliation with the Palestinians which was somehow associated with her (admitted) Syrian/Lebanese heritage. Her placement in the White House and her long and close association with people in world-wide power gave her an extraordinary opportunity to foist her opinions on governmental policy – an abuse of journalism.

In order to understand Thomas and my personal characterization of her attitude, the history of the Palestine / Israeli region must be understood, especially the dominance of the Palestinians by fascist attitudes which they did not have prior to WWII, at least not in the degree to which they were introduced during that period.

Al Husseini, the Uncle of Yasser Arafat, and the Founder of the Muslim Brotherhood:

It is necessary to understand the history of the Palestinians and their relationship to the fascism of Europe. The Palestinians have a fascist history going back to WWII, when Arafat’s uncle, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Mohammad Amin al-Husseini, became an affiliate of Hitler. He was influential in the war with the Muslim Nazis, forming the Muslim Hanzar (Hanchar) Division of the SS in Bosnia.

On 1 March 1944, while speaking on Radio Berlin, al-Husseini said:
'Arabs, rise as one man and fight for your sacred rights. Kill the Jews wherever you find them. This pleases God, history, and religion. This saves your honor. God is with you.'
(Note 1)

He retained his influence in the Arab world after the war, being instrumental in the formation of the Arab League. He travelled throughout the Middle East, spreading fascism and antisemitism.

Al Huseini’s nephew, Yasser Arafat – full name: Mohammed Yasser Abdel Rahman Abdel Raouf Arafat al-Qudwa al-Husseini - founded the PLO and FATAH and Black September.

Although they enjoy separate land and self—government, the Palestinians have refused to be granted sovereign statehood several times, because those international promises did not include all of what is now Israel and especially 100% of old Jerusalem in the proposed lands and hands of Palestinians.

The Palestinians remain fascist genocidal anti-Semite terrorists. It should be noted that all nationalities coexist peacefully within Israel’s borders, including Arabs. This is not the case in Palestine. Part of the Palestinian Hamas Charter contains this Qu’ran Hadith:
“Moreover, if the links have been distant from each other and if obstacles, placed by those who are the lackeys of Zionism in the way of the fighters obstructed the continuation of the struggle, the Islamic Resistance Movement aspires to the realisation of Allah's promise, no matter how long that should take. The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him salvation, has said:

"The Day of Judgement will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Muslims, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews." (related by al-Bukhari and Muslim).”

This is directly preceded in the document by a declaration of association with the Muslim Brotherhood:
”The Islamic Resistance Movement is one of the links in the chain of the struggle against the Zionist invaders. It goes back to 1939, to the emergence of the martyr Izz al-Din al Kissam and his brethren the fighters, members of Moslem Brotherhood. It goes on to reach out and become one with another chain that includes the struggle of the Palestinians and Moslem Brotherhood in the 1948 war and the Jihad operations of the Moslem Brotherhood in 1968 and after.”

There is to be no peace with the Jews. Even the concept of “hudna” as a ceasefire is a ploy of Muslim warfare, because it actually refers to a restocking and rearming period.

CAIR in the USA is a part of the Muslim Brotherhood, and is defined as terrorist by FBI Director Robert Mueller, although the Obama administration does not.
”FBI Chief: Muslim Brotherhood Supports Terrorism
IPT News
February 10, 2011

Elements of the Muslim Brotherhood, the Islamist group whose ideology has inspired terrorists such as Osama bin Laden, are in the United States and have supported terrorism here and overseas, FBI Director Robert Mueller told a House committee Thursday.

Mueller joined seven other Obama administration intelligence and law enforcement officials at a hearing of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. They spoke of the Brotherhood's U.S. ties as word spread in Egypt that President Hosni Mubarak was prepared to resign. Mubarak has repeatedly said his administration, in place since 1981, is the one thing keeping an Islamic state led by the Brotherhood from taking over Egypt.

While Mueller, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and other witnesses spelled out a variety of threats, they and some committee members highlighted the Brotherhood's ties in the United States. It was a significant departure from earlier hearings, which focused on groups more directly involved with terrorism.

"I'm concerned that the Muslim Brotherhood is using peaceful protests in Egypt for a power grab, and our government doesn't seem to grasp their threat," Rep. Sue Myrick, R-N.C., told the committee and the witnesses. "The Muslim Brotherhood isn't a danger because they are terrorists, but because they push an extremist ideology that causes others to commit acts of terrorism."

Clapper agreed that "there are entities associated with the Muslim Brotherhood here in the United States." Mueller told Myrick that he would provide the committee with greater detail on the Brotherhood's activities in closed session.

However, Clapper also characterized the Brotherhood in Egypt as a mostly secular umbrella organization. "The term 'Muslim Brotherhood'...is an umbrella term for a variety of movements, in the case of Egypt, a very heterogeneous group, largely secular, which has eschewed violence and has decried Al Qaeda as a perversion of Islam," Clapper said in response to a question from Myrick. "They have pursued social ends, a betterment of the political order in Egypt, et cetera.....In other countries, there are also chapters or franchises of the Muslim Brotherhood, but there is no overarching agenda, particularly in pursuit of violence, at least internationally."

Clapper's "secular" reference is odd, given the Brotherhood's motto is "Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Qur'an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope."

In a statement issued after the hearing, Myrick expressed astonishment at Clapper's assessment. ""Either the Administration doesn't know who the Muslim Brotherhood is, which shows incompetence," she said, "or they are apologizing for them, which is inappropriate for those in charge of protecting the American people. Let's be clear – the Muslim Brotherhood is NOT secular."

Mueller and Myrick are right; Clapper is dead wrong, and history was quick to distinguish that fact.

The Palestine-originated Muslim Brotherhood, along with Bin Laden, is instrumental in radicalizing Chechnya, which produced the terrorists who slaughtered some 300 children at Beslan, ( note 2) and produced the Boston Marathon Bombers.

The full details of the radical fascism endemic to Palestinian leadership and the organizations spawned there are readily accessible for further study for those who wish to go deeper. (Note 3) Read also how it was that the Palestinian regions were created, and why.

Back to Helen Thomas: She has been a full-throated supporter of the continual Palestinian aggression against Israel, characterizing the Palestinians as victims and Jews as oppressors. For that reason, and the history of Palestinian fascism given above, I associate her with fascist anti-Semitism.

What’s in it for the Omnis?

There are a few – only a few, it seems – voices wondering why the Gaza Palestinians are not held responsible for anything they do, by the screaming critics of Israel. Here is where the philosophy of omnibenevolence really comes to life.

Omnibenevolence is the cry that we, meaning the western world, must give the Palestinians everything they demand. This is because they are, after all, victims. Their victimhood status is now an axiom, a first principle that is beyond denial in the worldview of the Omnis. And victims must be expected to be activists and behave badly. Their status as victims excuses any and everything they do. The Omnis support this fully, and with boatloads, literally, of omnibenevolence. But the omnis also launched into full bore condemnations of Israel. Omnibenevolence is not a two-way street. The saviors must also have oppressors to hate as much or more than the victims they love. After all, there would be no victims without correlate oppressors. If the omnis need victims, then they also need oppressors too.

What exactly do the Omnis get out of this thespian melodrama they create? At first it seems that the self-righteous breast-beating over the “plight” of the Palestinians was merely a standard act of self-ego-boost and arrogant moral preening for the chosen victims and their saviors. Victimhood and the co-dependent feedback relationship certainly is at play, but the volume and vitriol suggests that there is more to it.

I think that the usual victimhood issues are bolstered by a barely suppressed anti-Semitism, as can be seen by Leftist blogs who are in sympathy with Helen Thomas’ comment: get rid of the Jews – send them back where the came from. Never mind that most of Israel’s Jews now are natives of Israel, having been born in the UN sanctioned nation of Israel.

It becomes apparent when considering that the Israeli incursions into Gaza and the accompanying toll pale beside the toll taken on Muslims by Muslims, and Christians by Muslims, and Hindus by Muslims. Muslim violence around the world is epidemic, yet there is no condemnation forthcoming from the Left regarding that. Those victims do not have value for the Left. This was apparent on 9/11: Leftists announced that America deserved it. The actual victims had no value to them, whatsoever. They were not the right victims to satisfy the needs of the Left.

The Left is barely able to control its hatred of Jews long enough to deny it. As more Anti-Semite “Aid” ships challenge Israel’s defenses, it should also be noted that the Gazans are rejecting the aid, and that American journalists are reporting that Gaza store shelves are already full and flowing with goods. These ships are challenging Israeli defenses with war provocations.

One commentator suggests that the attacks on Israel are a sort of psychological compensation for the Holocaust guilt that oppresses the western Left. If they could only get Israel out of the picture, they could have a happier life not remembering the gas chambers every time they see Israel or a Jew. A second elimination would make their Leftist lives better. If we can’t eliminate them with a permanent solution, we should at least scatter them. Another Diaspora; let their new overlords deal with them as they will. At least then they won’t have an entire country to bother us with. Holocaust guilt removed.

I personally think that there is also another dynamic at play here. Omnibenevolence is a characteristic that Atheists like to impose on a deity. If the deity doesn’t have omnibenevolence, then the deity is defective and cannot exist, the argument goes. Now, the Atheist Left has attached omnibenevolence to itself. There seems little reason not to think that they are elevating themselves to the moral status of omnibenevolent deities. And complete with satanic evil enemies, to boot.

While I am not certain that this attitude is completely the case for every Leftist, one thing is very certain: It is not about the Gazans; they are convenient and useful, but meaningless in the overall picture. It is racial hatred, pure and simple. It is a shared value of the Left and the Muslim. Racism made “moral” by its attachment to selective omnibenevolence. Anti-Semitism is now openly part and parcel of the venom spewed by the western, Leftist, omnibenevolent, Atheist, intellectual, self-anointed, saviors of the victims they perpetuate for their own glory.

Two Histories

Here I compare two histories of events in 1982, surrounding Israel’s attack on PLO sites in Lebanon, called the Lebanon War.

First from If Americans Knew:

“[In the early 1950s] Arab states regularly complained of the reprisals to the UN Security Council, which routinely rejected Israel’s claims of self-defense...

“In June 1982 Israel again invaded Lebanon, and it used aerial bombardment to destroy entire camps of Palestinian Arab refugees, By these means Israel killed 20,000 persons, mostly civilians...Israel claimed self-defense for its invasion, but the lack of PLO attacks into Israel during the previous year made that claim dubious...The [UN] Security Council demanded ‘that Israel withdraw all its military forces forthwith and unconditionally to the internationally recognized boundaries of Lebanon’...

“The UN Human Rights Commission, using the Geneva Convention’s provision that certain violations of humanitarian law are ‘grave breaches’ meriting criminal punishment for perpetrators, found a number of Israel’s practices during the uprising [the intifada] to constitute ‘war crimes.’ It included physical and psychological torture of Palestinian detainees and their subjection to improper and inhuman treatment; the imposition of collective punishment on towns, villages and camps; the administrative detention of thousands of Palestinians; the expulsion of Palestinian citizens; the confiscation of Palestinian property; and the raiding and demolition of Palestinian houses.” John Quigley, “Palestine and Israel: A Challenge to Justice.”

Second from Myths and Facts, Jewish Virtual Library:
"By June 1982, when the IDF went into Lebanon, the PLO had made life in northern Israel intolerable, by its repeated shelling of Israeli towns.

A force of some 15-18,000 PLO members was encamped in scores of locations in Lebanon. About 5,000-6,000 were foreign mercenaries, coming from such countries as Libya, Iraq, India, Sri Lanka, Chad and Mozambique.1 Israel discovered enough light arms and other weapons in Lebanon to equip five brigades.2

The PLO had an arsenal that included mortars, Katyusha rockets, and an extensive anti-aircraft network. The PLO also brought hundreds of T-34 tanks into the area.3

Syria, which permitted Lebanon to become a haven for the PLO and other terrorist groups, brought surface-to-air missiles into that country, creating yet another danger for Israel.

Israeli strikes and commando raids had been unable to stem the growth of this PLO army. Israel was not prepared to wait for more deadly attacks to be launched against its civilian population before acting against the terrorists.

The PLO had repeatedly violated the July 1981 cease-fire agreement. In the ensuing 11 months, the PLO staged 270 terrorist actions in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, and along the Lebanese and Jordanian borders. Twenty-nine Israelis died, and more than 300 were injured in the attacks.4 The situation in the Galilee became intolerable as the frequency of attacks forced thousands of residents to flee their homes or to spend large amounts of time in bomb shelters. During this period, Israel launched retaliatory raids against PLO bases in Lebanon.

After Israel launched one such assault on June 4-5, 1982, the PLO responded with a massive artillery and mortar attack on the Israeli population of the Galilee. On June 6, the IDF moved into Lebanon to drive out the terrorists.
Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger defended the Israeli operation: "No sovereign state can tolerate indefinitely the buildup along its borders of a military force dedicated to its destruction and implementing its objectives by periodic shellings and raids."5

"On Lebanon, it is clear that we and Israel both seek an end to the violence there, and a sovereign, independent Lebanon," President Reagan said June 21, 1982. "We agree that Israel must not be subjected to violence from the north."

Documents found by the IDF in Lebanon during the operation showed that terrorist groups had made detailed plans for shelling towns in northern Israel. The following are translations of two documents found at PLO headquarters in Sidon. Both were dated July 1981:

Name of Shelled Target: Kiryat Shemona
Number of Salvos: 17 shells in 2 portions, each portion 120mm
Unit in Charge: Artillery of the Joint Forces of the South.

To: El-Haj Ismail
Greetings for the Revolution!
The Supreme Military Council has decided to concentrate on the destruction of Kiryat Shemona, Metullah, Dan, Shear Yashuv and Nahariya and its vicinity.

Kiryat Shemona: will be distributed among all the platoons and will be shelled with improved "Grad" shells.

Metullah: will be shelled with 160mm mortars (Palestine Liberation Front-As-Saiqa).

Nahariya and its vicinity will be shelled with 130mm guns-Artillery Battalion 1

Dan and Shear Yashuv: will be the responsibility of the eastern sector.

Revolution until victory!6

For more than a month, the PLO proved itself intransigent, trying to extract a political victory from its military defeat. Arafat declared his willingness "in principle" to leave Beirut, then refused to go to any other country.

Throughout the siege, the PLO hid behind innocent civilians, calculating that if Israel were to attack, it would be internationally condemned. That is precisely what happened.

By mid-June, Israeli troops had surrounded 6,000-9,000 terrorists who had taken up positions amid the civilian population of West Beirut.

To prevent civilian casualties, Israel agreed to a ceasefire to enable an American diplomat, Ambassador Philip Habib, to mediate a peaceful PLO withdrawal from Lebanon. As a gesture of flexibility, Israel agreed to permit PLO forces to leave Beirut with their personal weapons.12 But the PLO continued to make new demands.

For weeks, the PLO talked about withdrawal, while attaching conditions that made it impossible. The PLO adopted a strategy of controlled violations of the cease-fire, with the purpose of inflicting casualties on Israel and provoking Israeli retaliation sufficient to get the IDF blamed for disrupting the negotiations and harming civilians.

"The Israelis bombed buildings, innocent looking on the outside, where their intelligence told them that PLO offices were hidden," wrote Middle East analyst Joshua Muravchik. "Their intelligence also told them of the huge network of underground PLO storage facilities for arms and munitions that was later uncovered by the Lebanese Army. No doubt the Israelis dropped some bombs hoping to penetrate those facilities and detonate the dumps. The PLO had both artillery and anti-aircraft [equipment] truck mounted. These would fire at the Israelis and then move."13 The Israelis would fire back and sometimes miss, inadvertently hitting civilian targets.

In numerous instances, the media mistakenly reported that Israel was hitting civilian targets in areas where no military ones were nearby. On one night in July, Israeli shells hit seven embassies in Beirut. NBC aired a report that appeared to lend credence to PLO claims it had no military positions in the area. Israel, Muravchik noted, "soon released reconnaissance photos showing the embassy area honeycombed with tanks, mortars, heavy machine guns and anti-aircraft positions."14

And this from Palestine Facts:
The final provocation occurred in June 3, 1982 when a Palestinian terrorist group led by Abu Nidal attempted to assassinate Israel's Ambassador to Great Britain, Shlomo Argov. The IDF subsequently bombed PLO bases and ammunition dumps in Beirut and attacked other targets in Lebanon on June 4-5, 1982. The PLO responded with a massive artillery and mortar attack on the Israeli population of the Galilee. It was the PLO shelling, and not directly the Argov shooting as is sometimes assumed, that triggered the Israeli invasion of Lebanon.

The histories of the two sides only loosely map one to the other. I am suspicious of the claims of Israeli atrocities for several reasons.

First, the Palestinians have always hid behind their own populations so that civilian casualties are guaranteed.

Second, the one real atrocity, committed by the Lebanese Christian Phalange in retribution for PLO assassinations in Lebanon, was inadvertantly permitted and abetted by Israeli troops; Israelis - yes Israelis - protested this and high ranking Israeli officers were punished, despite not knowing in advance of the atrocity plans of the LCP. This speaks of an Israeli intolerance for atrocities, not the appetite of which they are accused.

Third, the supposed atrocities are generally accompanied by no objective accounts, they are accusations without support. The Israeli accounts are accompanied by newspaper accounts to which they refer in the notes.

It is possible that we westerners are, in fact, duped by the press accounts of Palestinian atrocities, and a lack of reporting on Israeli atrocities. I have come to doubt that. I admit to being prejudiced by the video of wailing Palestinians carrying a dead "victim" above their heads, when the victim sat up and looked around; the mourners quickly pushed him back down into the death position and continued wailing mightily.

I am old enough to remember the constant suicide bombing of Israeli markets by Palestinian martyrs; I remember the shelling into Israel from Golan Heights; I remember the "hudnas" such as the Lebanon truce which was really a re-arming lull in the intifada, which continued as the Palestinians were readied.

Are the Palestinians justified? They will never be convinced otherwise, and that is the reality.
