The reason for this is Africa, in particular, stands as proof against everything the modern Left says about the human condition. There are no success stories in Africa. Botswana is the closest you get, but it remains one of the poorest places on earth. The rest of Africa is a collection of failed states and basket-cases. Sierre Leone, for example, is no longer able to maintain its water supply and power grid. Nigeria is in a low-grade civil war with Muslims and Zimbabwe is the glaring example of the African failed state.

You see, Africa is the example that counters everything our Progressive rulers believe about the world. If the blank slate is true, then Africans should have made great strides in closing the gap with the white world. If things like “institutional racism” were real things, Africa should be racing toward modernity now. If colonialism was the reason these places were so backward, a half century of freedom should have gone a long way toward curing the effects of the white man. Instead. everywhere Africa is worse than a half century ago.

The response from our Progressive rulers is to just ignore Africa. You see it in this National Review article on the end of Mugabe’s rule. The authoress is young, so she was poached in the warm liquids of multiculturalism her whole life. Her struggle to explain the decline of Rhodesia into Zimbabwe reads like a person trying to disarm a bomb while blindfolded. She not only avoids the elephant in the room, which is race, she leaves the reader with the impression that there is no such thing as elephants. Race does not exist.

That’s why Africa stopped being important to our Progressive rulers. It’s why the efforts of George Bush to do something about AIDS in Africa was largely ignored. You can’t talk about Africa without talking about race and race realism. Those are taboo subjects, so the whole continent may as well not exist. Bring up the subject in a room full of Progressives and watch their reaction. You won’t see fear. It will be confusion. The subject has been purged from the catechism, so it no longer exists. Africa is not cool anymore.

I told you all before and I'll repeat it now: the alt right is not conservative, and it is every bit as driven by identity politics and blood essentialism as the prog left.

Antifa, BLM, CAIR, the New Black Panthers, La Raza, the Pussy Hatters, the KKK -- these are all identity movements and all formed and animated by the kind of identity politics championed by the left, and legitimated by the likes of Edward Said and other academic cultural Marxists who recognized the way to power was to divide, and then control, particular identity groups, whose narratives they seek to create and police.

The alt-right is only "right wing" in the continental sense. The American conservative is classically liberal, while the American progressive is Fabian socialist.

Don't listen to labels; follow the assumptions made by each movement -- the alt right, the prog left -- and you'll soon recognize that they are the same. This is tribalism, no more and no less. And when tribes are at odds, they clash over territory -- be it physical territory or political power. What we are witnessing is an attempt to corrupt the ideals of a propositional nation based on individualism and individual universal rights (and that's how our Constitutional republic is designed to operate) -- a lesson Google's pillorying of a software engineer as "anti-diversity" should have made clear. Intolerance is a hallmark of every authoritarian movement. Simply pretending some intolerance is more noble, which is affected by self-servingly dismissing dissenters as purveyors of "hate," is a ham-fisted surrender to anti-intellectual sophistry.

You should reject this archaic collectivism from whatever group espouses it, because in the end it is simply anti-individualism dressed in mob attire to bolster cowardice and bigotry in numbers.

The inability to determine content seems endemic to these apologists who insist that the Alt-Right is merely identity. Of course it is identity! Buckley conservatism is an identity. RINO is an identity. Antifa is an identity. BLM is an identity. The Alt-Right was assigned its own identity, and named itself.

Today the Left has assigned everyone to an identity, usually with a false proposition for a name. For example, Antifa is actually fascist, communist and socialist. The Democrat National Committee is anti-white, and therefore black-power as their identity. The Republicans are inept, and that's their identity. Humans with testicles are male: that's their identity regardless of any of their claims to the contrary. If you don't recognize your identity, you are an underground dweller.

Some identities want full control over the other identities. That is the main thrust of assigning identities in the first place - Marxist Class War requires it. And that is what this "culture war" has devolved into: war for control of all aspects of everyone's lives. Google wants it. Facebook wants it. Antifa wants it. The BLM/DNC wants it.

The Alt-Right wants to be left alone. But its identity is "NOT Leftist, fascist, communist or other socialist". This tribalism has been forced on them. The Alt-right found its tribe the hard way. Conservatives as a tribe are actually Leftist toadies. Traditional liberalism became the Alt-Right (which is why it is defamed as White Nationalism).

So they cannot be left alone, under the rules of engagement in place by the Left (fascists, communists and other socialists). And they are forced to act in order to thwart their marginalization/enslavement into Re-Education camps.

Ignore THAT at your own peril, Goldstein.

Pre-Frontal Attack?

After WWI, the French built a very long series of fortified bunkers and mounds near the German border in response to the trench warfare that had been so devastating. They had created what was the essence of a huge trench defense which was hundreds of miles long. This major defensive structure was called the Maginot Line, and it was expected to protect France from German invasion.

The Germans did invade, in what became WWII. But they did not attack this French structure head-on. The Germans came at the defenses from the side, starting from near Belgium, and wiped out the Maginot line easily.

Today the culture-driving entities are entrenched. Universities, government, education and much of "big" business are completely controlled by the communist dogs of the Left. There is free speech only for Leftists in the universities, more intrusive regulation from the government, more maleducation from the government-driven education establishment, and Leftist billionaire psychos who got filthy rich from a single program who now control social media and on-line speech with Leftist exclusionary codes. There is tolerance only for themselves; free speech only for themselves; inclusion based on skin color and exclusion based on ideology. Their behavior is totalitarian while pleading anti-fascism (the biggest indicator of ignorance and inverted mentalities of those who think only with their "feelz", and get their information from CNN/NPR). The Leftist path to destruction of all which they hate is well underway.

But those elitist class structures are all vulnerable, like the Maginot Line, from the side.

A great example is the Leftist University of Missouri, which has decreased enrollment in the double digits, and significantly decreased funding from alumni. The government is being re-built from the top-down. Education, at least public education, will likely be rebuilt both top-down and by self-strangulation. Entire Leftist cities will fall further into financial calamity; several have already lost their ability to borrow due to their leftist-drive to use other people's money on Leftist promises which cannot self-sustain. There are now alternative choices for internet structures, such as duckduckgo for honest search, and infogalactic for honest encyclopedic information.

The one aspect of the Leftist hegemony that will not (easily) be defeated is the mind-set in the individual Leftist: the Leftist cannot release the arrogance, the self-derived superiority and deeply held elitist self-image. People who depend on their class to give themselves "meaning" will not have the ability to release their self-indulgence in the face of becoming average, ordinary humans: members of the wrong class. It will require either massive help for these narcissists, or force to deny them power over others.

Until the Left gives up (or is forceably restrained from) Class War and its status as "saviors", "messiahs" of their perpetually designated Victimhood Classes (usually also themselves), there will be no peace.

So the real question is just this: what must be done to regain a sane society, one which is inhabited by those who leave each other alone, except to help when asked?

Personally, I am encouraged by the great millenial battle at Berkeley. There appear to be enough free speech advocates amongst millennials that they more than balanced the Antifa - Democrats' KKK of the 21st century - and gave them an embarrassing thumping and rout. This is not the stuff of cultural change, of course, but it is an indicator that the entire millennial generation was not captured by education's Leftist indoctrination. And perhaps GenZ is a further glimmer of hope.

Perhaps the largest Leftist internal non-coherence breaks the spell for rational people: the Left insists on a world that is non-racist, and then tells whites that they are genetically racist. This is eliminationist on its face, and too far into the muck to be redeemed. By declaring war on whites, the Left has withdrawn into a minority position. Even though there are obviously some white SJWs who are against whites, many of the non-white minorities will see the totalitarian viciousness of this (final) race war by the Democrat/Leftist Marxists.

It's still a most interesting time to be alive... and awake, not woke.

That is also why, while in China, Trudeau told the one-party authoritarian state that Canada, too, is imperfect when it comes to human rights.

Trudeau blurred the distinction between Canada’s peaceful, free society and that of a communist dictatorship.

He equated Canada — a democratic country that always strives for peace, justice, liberty and equality — to a closed regime with a sordid history."

Trudeau is Canada's version of Obama, only stupider... if that's even possible.
